Ariana Grande created a lot of buzz for her new album Eternal Sunshine, and she’s now enjoying the fruits of her labor. Her latest LP found enormous success on the Billboard 200 chart, while its latest single “We Can’t Be Friends” topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Eternal Sunshine hit No. 1 with 227,000 equivalent album units upon its release on March 8, including 77,000 in pure sales alone. It continued Grande’s almost-perfect Billboard 200 streak, becoming her sixth out of seven albums to top this chart.

Its release was accompanied by the second single “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)”, which became Grande’s ninth single to top the Hot 100. It soared to No. 1 with 32.6 million streams, 4.6 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 9,000 in sales.

“We Can’t Be Friends” set several major milestones on its way to No. 1. It helped Grande become the female artist with the most No. 1 debuts on the Hot 100 chart, breaking the record previously held by Taylor Swift.

“We Can’t Be Friends” is the second single from Eternal Sunshine to debut at No. 1, following “Yes, And?” They mimic the success of “Thank U, Next” and “7 Rings” from Thank U, Next, transforming Grande into the first female artist with multiple No. 1 debuts from two albums.

Ariana Grande made an epic comeback with “Yes, And?” and easily danced back to No. 1 with this catchy bop. Grande’s latest single debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 ahead of the release of her album Eternal Sunshine, becoming her eighth song to top the chart.

“Yes, And?” hit the shelves on January 12 and attracted 27.2 million streams, 24.8 million radio airplay audience impressions, plus 53,000 in sales (including 41,000 digital downloads) during its debut week on the chart. It also topped the Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts with its impressive first-week numbers.

“Yes, And?” marks Grande’s eighth No. 1 single, in addition to being her sixth No. 1 debut, tying her with Taylor Swift as the female solo artist with most chart-topping debuts. She’s overwhelmed by its overnight success and took a moment to thank her fans for making it happen.

“It is overwhelming and so sincerely moving to see how many of you this song has resonated with and it is such a gift to feel so seen and held by you! Thank you for your positivity, for your support, and for everything. you have no idea how much you mean to me!” wrote Grande on Instagram.

“Yes, And?” will be featured on Grande’s seventh studio album Eternal Sunshine, scheduled to be released on March 8 via Republic Records.

Drake never had any trouble soaring to the top of the Billboard charts, and he’s done it once again! His latest album For All the Dogs debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart, becoming his 13th LP to do so, and set several major records on the Billboard Hot 100 along the way.

With 402,000 album-equivalent units earned during its first week on the chart, For All the Dogs was a clear leader on the Billboard 200 chart this week. It’s Drake’s 13th album to hit No. 1 in the US, the third-most chart-leaders in the U.S. behind Jay-Z with 14 and The Beatless with 19.

For All the Dogs also made quite a splash on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with all of its 23 tracks making the cut. To make the whole thing even more impressive, seven of them made it to the top ten, including “First Person Shooter” ft. J. Cole, Drake’s 13th chart-topper in the US.

Drake is now tied with Michael Jackson for the most No. 1 songs among solo male artists, but he’s yet to surpass Rihanna (14), Mariah Carey (19), and The Beatles (20). He also became the first artist in history with over 300 Billboard Hot 100 entries with a total of 320.

Travis Scott waited five years to share his new album Utopia with the world—and good things come to those who wait. The rapper’s fourth studio album easily topped the Billboard 200 chart, becoming his third solo album to do so and making history along the way.

With 496,000 album-equivalent units earned following its release on July 28, Utopia easily debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart. Streaming numbers were largely responsible for its success, as this album managed to score the second-biggest streaming week of 2023 with 330.68 million on-demand official streams, equaling 243,000 SEA units.

When it comes to pure sales, Utopia moved an equally impressive 252,000 copies for the second-largest week in album sales this year. It sold 79,000 vinyl copies alone, becoming the best-selling R&B/hip-hop vinyl album since Luminate started tracking sales in 1991.

As if that wasn’t enough, Scott also made history on the Billboard Hot 100 chart thanks to the enormous success of Utopia. All 19 tracks from this album charted on the Billboard Hot 100, including “Meltdown” ft. Drake and “FE!N,” ft. Playboi Carti, which both debuted in the top five. Scott increased his total of Hot 100 hits from 93 to 111 songs, becoming only the 15th artist in the chart’s history with 100-plus career entries on the summit.

SZA’s “Kill Bill” is one of the songs that 2023 will be remembered by, and it’s finally getting credit where credit is due. After eight weeks on no. 2, this viral hit finally climbed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in the wake of the release of a new remix featuring Doja Cat.

During its most recent week on the chart, “Kill Bill” received 86.5 million radio airplay audience impressions, 28.3 million streams, and 5,000 downloads. It finally climbed to No. 1 thanks to these impressive numbers, which is quite an achievement considering it spent eight weeks at no. 2.

“Kill Bill” finally managed to surpass the previous chart-toppers Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” and Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers”, which both repeatedly stopped it from hitting No. 1. It was a great week for hip-hop remixes on the Billboard Hot 100 overall, with Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj’s “Princess Diana” debuting at No. 4.

“Kill Bill” also marks SZA’s very first single to hit No. 1, but Doja Cat wasn’t credited on the Billboard Hot 100 since the remix didn’t account for the majority of the song’s overall consumption. The duo previously collaborated on “Kiss Me More”, which peaked at No. 3 and won them a Grammy for the best pop duo/group performance.

It’s been over three months since Adele made a big comeback with her smash hit “Easy On Me”, and this song is still ruling the charts. It just logged its 10th week at no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, tying the singer’s personal record that she previously set with “Hello”.

“Easy on Me” returned to no. 1 with 99 million radio airplay audience impressions and 14.3 million streams during its most recent tracking week. Its chart domination may soon be coming to an end since it’s facing tough competition in the viral hit “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto at no. 2.

Adele’s most recent Hot 100 milestone is quite impressive since she’s only the seventh artist to log ten or more weeks atop the chart with more than one song. Boyz II Men and Drake are record-holders with three songs each, while The Black Eyed Peas, Mariah Carey, Santana, and Pharrell Williams scored two each.

“Easy on Me” was released in October, as the lead single from Adele’s latest album 30. It topped the charts in 27 territories, including the UK, Canada, and Australia, and it’s currently the longest-running no. 1 hit in the US released by a female artist in the 2020s.

All hell broke loose after Adele dropped her comeback single “Easy on Me” and the charts reflect the amazing buzz she created with this song. This heartbreaking ballade skyrocketed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart after breaking several major streaming records.

Only five hours after its initial release, “Easy on Me” already debuted at no. 68 and Adele kept her eyes on the prize. After the first full week of availability, this song reached 65 million radio airplay audience impressions, 53.9 million U.S. streams, and 74,000 downloads, and easily jumped to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

“Easy on Me” also hit no. 1 on the Official Singles Chart in the UK, becoming the most streamed song in a single week and reaching the highest first-week sales for a song since Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You”. It also previously set the all-time record for the most-streamed song in a single day on Spotify and Amazon.

“Easy on Me” is Adele’s fifth no. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, following the success of “Rolling in the Deep”, “Someone Like You”, “Set Fire to the Rain”, and “Hello”. It will be featured on Adele’s fourth studio album 30, to be released on November 19th.

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” is the gift that keeps on giving.

Now that her holiday hit has topped the domestic chart for a third consecutive week, Mariah Carey is the first artist to have a No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 in four separate decades.

That’s right! Carey has ranked atop the Hot 100 in the ’90s, ’00s, ’10s & ‘20s, thanks to the song, which was originally released in 1994, and has finally hit No. 1 this holiday season.

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” is Carey’s 19th No. 1, which also officially earns her the title of most No. 1 singles for a solo artist in history.

Carey had the best response to becoming the first artist to rule the Billboard Hot 100 in four decades, writing on Twitter, “Yaaaaaaaaay!!! WE. DID. IT,” followed by a bunch of celebration emojis and then asked “But…. what’s a decade?”
