One of Britain’s greatest and most underrated comedies is undoubtedly Fleabag.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge takes the audience into her confidence as she continuously breaks the fourth wall in the six-part series based on her one-woman play.

After a hugely successful first season, the Killing Eve creator brought back the series for a second — and final — season, in which Sherlock star Andrew Scott plays a major role.

The series earned 9 nominations for the upcoming Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Waller-Bridge.

Despite the actress explicitly saying she has no plans to continue with Fleabag, Amazon hopes she will change her mind…

“Nothing would make us happier than to have her bring another season of that show [to us], or anything else she wants to do,” network head Jennifer Salke said at the Television Critics Association press tour.

“I mean, I’m forever the optimist, so I remain always hopeful until it’s really over. So I’m hoping. I just am, like, basically [Phoebe’s] stalker. Anything Phoebe wants to do, we are signed up to do.”

Let’s hope she has a change of heart!

Our trip to Middle Earth is taking shape.

Amazon has announced the first director who will be helming episodes for the upcoming Lord of the Rings TV series.

The show will take place before the events of J.R.R. Tolkein’s first book in the series, The Fellowship of the Ring, which was adapted into a feature film by Peter Jackson.

Much like the recently-concluded Game of Thrones on HBO, the LOTR series will utilize different directors, with J.A. Bayona being elected to helm the first two episodes.

“J.R.R. Tolkien created one of the most extraordinary and inspiring stories of all time, and as a lifelong fan it is an honor and a joy to join this amazing team,” said the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom director. “I can’t wait to take audiences around the world back to Middle Earth and have them discover the wonders of the Second Age, with a never-before-seen story.”

Bayona will also serve as an executive producer, alongside his producing partner Belén Atienza, on what is rumored to be the most expensive TV show ever made.
