The post Beyonce & Kendrick Lamar Top 2023 Grammy Nominations, Adele & Harry Styles Right Behind appeared first on TheDailyDay.
]]>All of these artists are nominated for album of the year, one of the night’s most important honors. Beyoncé’s Renaissance, Lamar’s Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, Styles’ Harry’s House, Adele’s 30, and Carlile’s In These Silent Days will be competing against the likes of Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti and Lizzo’s Special.
When it comes to song and record of the year, another two major categories at this ceremony, the field includes most of the same artists. Adele’s “Easy on Me”, Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul”, Harry Styles’ “As It Was”, Lizzo’s “About Damn Time”, and Kendrick Lamar’s “The Heart Part 5” are some of the tracks in the running for both awards.
As for the rest of the nominees, Mary J. Blige, Future, and The-Dream scored six nods each, and they’re followed by Jay-Z, Doja Cat, and Lizzo with five. The winners will be announced on February 5, 2023, when Grammy Awards are set to take place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

]]>The post Adele Logs 10th Week Atop the Billboard Hot 100 with “Easy On Me” appeared first on TheDailyDay.
]]>“Easy on Me” returned to no. 1 with 99 million radio airplay audience impressions and 14.3 million streams during its most recent tracking week. Its chart domination may soon be coming to an end since it’s facing tough competition in the viral hit “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto at no. 2.
Adele’s most recent Hot 100 milestone is quite impressive since she’s only the seventh artist to log ten or more weeks atop the chart with more than one song. Boyz II Men and Drake are record-holders with three songs each, while The Black Eyed Peas, Mariah Carey, Santana, and Pharrell Williams scored two each.
“Easy on Me” was released in October, as the lead single from Adele’s latest album 30. It topped the charts in 27 territories, including the UK, Canada, and Australia, and it’s currently the longest-running no. 1 hit in the US released by a female artist in the 2020s.

]]>These four artists will clash in two of the night’s leading categories—the artists of the year and album of the year—where they’ll be joined by Sam Fender. Adele is in the running with her fourth studio album 30, while Sheeran scored his nod with his latest LP Equals.
Sheeran’s “Bad Habits” and Adele’s “Easy on Me” are also in the running for the song of the year award, but it won’t be an easy fight. This category includes a total of 15 contenders, including “Cold Heart” by Elton John and Dua Lipa and “Clash” by Dave and Stormzy.
When it comes to the international categories, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Lil Nas X, and Olivia Rodrigo are leading the way with two nominations each, including the international artist of the year and best international song.
The Brit Awards are coming back to London’s O2 Arena on February 8th, 2022, with Mo Gilligan serving as a host. This marks the first ceremony to take place after the Brits announced the introduction of gender-neutral categories last year.

]]>The post Adele Hits No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart with “Easy on Me” appeared first on TheDailyDay.
]]>Only five hours after its initial release, “Easy on Me” already debuted at no. 68 and Adele kept her eyes on the prize. After the first full week of availability, this song reached 65 million radio airplay audience impressions, 53.9 million U.S. streams, and 74,000 downloads, and easily jumped to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
“Easy on Me” also hit no. 1 on the Official Singles Chart in the UK, becoming the most streamed song in a single week and reaching the highest first-week sales for a song since Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You”. It also previously set the all-time record for the most-streamed song in a single day on Spotify and Amazon.
“Easy on Me” is Adele’s fifth no. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, following the success of “Rolling in the Deep”, “Someone Like You”, “Set Fire to the Rain”, and “Hello”. It will be featured on Adele’s fourth studio album 30, to be released on November 19th.

]]>The post Adele’s Finally Releasing New Music With New Single “Easy On Me” appeared first on TheDailyDay.
]]>Adele made the announcement on Instagram and Twitter with a black-and-white video featuring a piano melody with her putting a cassette into a car radio and turning the volume up and driving away as sheet music blows out of the windows.
The same day she announced the single, Adele went viral on Twitter after responding to a tweet about the outage on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp posted by the network that read, “hello literally everyone.” Adele responded with “Hiya babes!”
There’s still no word on when Adele’s next album will be released, but that hasn’t stopped tons of speculation. It’s rumored that the album will be titled 30 because Adele’s previous albums have been named after the age she began working on them. Speculation only grew after mysterious billboards with the number 30 appeared all over the world last week.
“Easy On Me” will be released on October 15.

]]>The post Beyoncé and Adele Recorded a Song Together and Life is Now Perfect! appeared first on TheDailyDay.
]]>It appears as if two of the greatest divas in the world are about to record a track — together.
That’s right. You no longer have to choose between being Team Beyoncé or Team Adele, because the ladies are apparently collaborating on a new song.
The source?
The very reliable music producer and One Republic frontman, Ryan Tedder.
Tedder has worked with both singers before, having written “Halo” and “I Was Here” for Beyoncé, and produced Adele’s albums 21 and 25.
“We have one song featuring Beyoncé and Adele with a Chris Martin piano solo on the bridge,” the “Rescue Me” singer told radio station Z100 about One Republic’s upcoming album Human.
Both Beyoncé and Adele may have both been vying for Album of the Year at the 2017 Grammy Awards (Adele won), but now we can celebrate their musical prowess together!

]]>The post Adele is a Rap Queen! appeared first on TheDailyDay.
]]>The “Water Under the Bridge” singer is known for having an outstanding set of pipes, but the Londoner can knock out a rap verse, too.
The 31-year-old did singer just that at a recent party in Los Angeles when she broke down into Nicki Minaj’s rap solo from “Monster.”
Fans of the Grammy winner already know that she can kill the piece as she performed it in the car with James Corden on Carpool Karaoke in 2016.
At the time she earned kudos from Nicki herself, who wrote on Twitter: “Adele is mad ratchet. I can’t take her #UK #WutsGood”.
The “Starships” rapper further continued the praise in a Facebook: “Pull thru, QUEEN! #Adele #Monster the attitude & fingers to match. #Oh #Ok #IcoNic I cried when she waved bye to the careers #Hello #BuhBye.”
Adele recently said that she is thinking about releasing new music — is it too much to hope that a rap number will be included?

]]>Adele has always seemed like the type of lass you’d like to hang out with and grab a beer. As did Jennifer Lawrence.
So, we’re sort of pleased that the two were seen hanging out together — if not insanely jealous!
The pair have been friends for a while, dating back all the way to 2013 when they met at the Academy Awards the night they both won Oscars (Adele for Best Original Song and Jennifer for Best Actress).
On Friday night, the two were spotted having a gay ol’ time at Pieces gay bar in New York City, where they sang and drank.
The girls’ night out included a drinking game of musical shots which — gasp — Adele actually lost! Even J-Law was shook and reportedly shouted, “How could you lose?!” Seriously, Adele.
Next time, please invite us as well!

]]>The Water Under the Bridge singer proved just what a fabulous friend she is by becoming ordained as a minister so that she could preside over the wedding of her dear friend, Alan Carr.
The British comedian and television host has been with his partner, Paul Drayton, for 10 years.
The 29-year-old singer had taken a month-long absence from Instagram, but returned with the news that she had married two of her best friends.
Adele had apparently asked the couple if she could plan the entire day for them — which she did! Including having the ceremony at her house and singing during the newlyweds’ first dance.
Oh, Adele, we hope we find someone like you!
