]]>Directed by J. C. Chandor (All Is Lost, A Most Violent Year), Kraven the Hunter has been conceived as a part of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. It will serve as the origin story of one of Marvel’s most iconic villains, Sergei Kravinoff, before his notorious vendetta with Spider-Man.
Taylor-Johnson previously played Pietro Maximoff in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but this role didn’t come in the way of his casting as Kraven the Hunter. These films are set in a different universe and it’s possible for them to overlap as Marvel explores the idea of the multiverse.
The supporting cast of this project is also quite impressive and it includes the likes of star Ariana DeBose, Russell Crowe, Fred Hechinger, Christopher Abbott, and Alessandro Nivola.
Kraven the Hunter will hit the theatres on October 6, and it’s not Taylor-Johnson’s only exciting new project. He’s also set to star alongside Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt in the action thriller The Fall Guy, in addition to being cast in Robert Eggers’s Nosferatu.

]]>Baz Luhrmann announced earlier this year that the Elvis Presley film with which he had been involved for the past six years was finally coming to fruition.
The Great Gatsby director has co-written the screenplay, which will focus primarily on the relationship between the iconic singer and his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. While Parker helped Elvis to become the superstar that he was, it is also believed that he was extremely controlling.
Tom Hanks will be filling the role of his namesake, with the part of Presley himself going to one of five actors.
Ansel Elgort (The Fault in our Stars), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nowhere Boy), Miles Teller (Divergent), Austin Butler (The Carrie Diaries), and Harry Styles (Dunkirk) have all screen-tested for the role.
Luhrmann, who is also directing and producing the film, will announce his lead actor in the coming weeks.
We can imagine they’re all shook up.

]]>Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, and Mark Strong starred in Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which follows the secret spy organization from the comic book series by Mark Millar.
While a third film is being filmed at this end of this year (sadly, without Egerton), a prequel is also in the works.
Daniel Bruhl, Charles Dance, Matthew Goode, Rhys Ifans, Djimon Hounsou, Ralph Fiennes, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, and Alison Steadman have already been cast and will now be joined by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Gemma Arterton.
Dickinson and Fiennes will star as the protégé and mentor, while Hollander will feature in several roles.
The film, like its predecessors, will be directed by Michael Vaughan.
