Following in the blue suede footsteps of Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman is a biopic about the King of Rock ‘n Roll.

Baz Luhrmann announced earlier this year that the Elvis Presley film with which he had been involved for the past six years was finally coming to fruition.

The Great Gatsby director has co-written the screenplay, which will focus primarily on the relationship between the iconic singer and his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. While Parker helped Elvis to become the superstar that he was, it is also believed that he was extremely controlling.

Tom Hanks will be filling the role of his namesake, with the part of Presley himself going to one of five actors.

Ansel Elgort (The Fault in our Stars), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nowhere Boy), Miles Teller (Divergent), Austin Butler (The Carrie Diaries), and Harry Styles (Dunkirk) have all screen-tested for the role.

Luhrmann, who is also directing and producing the film, will announce his lead actor in the coming weeks.

We can imagine they’re all shook up.
