Famous movie and music star, David Cassidy, passed away in Florida hospital on Tuesday several days after an organ failure incident.
Cassidy first became famous for his role in Partridge Family where he played Keith Partridge. Cassidy gained so much attention during that time that the media began talking about “Cassidymania,” according to NBC News. The Partridge Family ended after four seasons, but Cassidy continued on with his solo musical career, performing his own songs and songs from the show and released hits like How Can I Be Sure and Cherish.
His family released an official statement on this sad occasion: “On behalf of the entire Cassidy family, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, our uncle, and our dear brother, David Cassidy. David died surrounded by those he loved, with joy in his heart and free from the pain that had gripped him for so long. Thank you for the abundance and support you have shown him these many years.”
