Let’s venture back into Silicon Valley.

Yesterday, HBO released a new trailer for the fifth season of Silicon Valley. The series focuses on five men who founded a startup in Silicon Valley, California.

The series follows Richard Hendricks (Thomas Middleditch), a programmer who worked for a large internet company called Hooli. The first four seasons of the series focused on Hendricks and the rest of his team forming his company, Pied Piper. The company transformed from a music player copyright detector to compression company to video chat app to a free server-less internet company. Each season there is a rivalry between Richard Hendricks and Gavin Belson(Matt Ross), the CEO of Hooli.

The trailer for Season 5 reveals that Pied Piper is expanding to over fifty new employees in addition to the original team. Richard must face the challenges as the CEO of Pied Piper. Gavin Belson must face a dilemma: will Hooli cease to exist because of Pied Piper’s free server-less internet?

According to Variety, this will be the first season not to feature Erlich Bachman (T.J. Miller). In a statement by HBO, the network explained that “The producers of Silicon Valley and T.J. Miller have mutually agreed that T.J. will not return for season 5.” They added that “In Erlich Bachman, T.J. has brought to life an unforgettable character, and while his presence on the show will be missed, we appreciate his contribution and look forward to future collaborations.” The series stars Thomas Middleditch, Josh Brener, Martin Starr, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross, Suzanne Cryer, Jimmy O. Yang. The series was created by Mike Judge, John Altschuler, and Dave Krinsky.

Season five of Silicon Valley returns to HBO on Sunday, March 25th, 2018.
