“Sex Education” is Getting a Second Season

The 16-year-old student played by Asa Butterfield gives sex advice to his peers despite the fact that he, himself, is a virgin.

40 million people tuned in worldwide to watch the first season of Sex Education on Netflix, with a second season of the British series having now been confirmed.

Butterfield, Gillian Anderson who plays his sex-therapist mother, Emma Mackay as Maeve, Otis’s best friend Eric played by Ncuti Gatwa, and the rest of Moordale Secondary School are all set to return.

“The reception to season one has been so exciting,” said series creator Laurie Nunn. “Seeing how people across the world have connected to characters that began as ideas in my head is incredible. I’m hugely grateful to every person that has taken the time to watch the series, and I can’t wait to continue this amazing journey.”

Season 2 of Sex Education will begin filming in the UK this spring.
