You read that right, the singer reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time during her 11-year career. She first appeared on the charts in 2009.

Her new release “Lose You to Love Me,” which is rumored to be about Gomez’s on-again-off-again relationship with singer Justin Bieber became her first single to reach the top of the charts.

“Lose You to Love Me” was co-written by Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter and last week it debuted at No. 15 – it jumped 14 spots in one week!

The music video for “Lose You to Love Me” was recorded on an I-Phone and it has over 115 million views on Youtube and 82 million streams on Spotify.

Gomez took to Instagram following the exciting news, “My first number 1!! This song is so dear to my heart. I’ve been working so hard to make this album as honest and fun as possible while remaining vulnerable enough to share where I am in life. I love you deeply and thank you so much for listening. I want to thank each and every person that was apart of this moment that I’ll never forget!”
