Sarah Paulson is in a loving, committed relationship and she wants her happiness to serve as inspiration.
The American Horror Story actress has been dating Mr. Mercedes star, Holland Taylor — who is 31 years her senior — since 2015.
The couple first met at a dinner party about 12 years ago and then ran into each other again years later where they began following one another on Twitter and slipping into each other’s DMs.
“I didn’t choose to fall in love with the person I fell in love with,” Sarah told Elle where she is appearing in their Women in Hollywood issue. “But I think why it’s interesting to people is that on paper, it’s unconventional. For a person who might find themselves in a situation that they fear will be misperceived or judged, maybe they could see me living my life in a way that is authentic to me — just trying to be as real as possible. If that inspires anybody else, that can’t be a bad thing.”
