The grandson of Queen Elizabeth II married American Meghan Markle in a beautiful ceremony on Saturday at Windsor Castle.

Now that the two have exchanged vows they sport new titles given to them by the Queen — say hello to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Harry and Meghan said their ‘I do’s’  in front of approximately 600 guests, and millions of onlookers worldwide as the event was fervently televised.

It was a day of celebration as the couple looked happy, relaxed and very much in love. A day that parted with tradition in many ways, but more than anything else reflected the couple’s mix of tradition and modernity.

Marble looked breathtaking walking down the aisle in Clare Waight Keller design for Givenchy. The wedding gown was a piece of sculptural simplicity and included a high open neckline that showed off the bride’s shoulders. There was also a five-meter veil with a trim of hand-embroidered flora of all 53 Commonwealth nations. Markle completely the look with Cartier earrings and bracelet as well as Queen Mary’s Filigree tiara to complete the look of an elegant pulled-back updo.

The star-studded event included guests from across the Atlantic as well as the local royalty and elite. The entire royal family was in attendance including Sarah Ferguson, mother of Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice who was snubbed from Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding. A pregnant Pippa was there and looked absolutely gorgeous in a pastel floral dress. Also in attendance was Oprah Winfrey in a powder pink ensemble as well as other A-listers including George and Amal Clooney and David and Victoria Beckham.

Markle’s Suits co-stars were all in attendance to support their former cast-mate as she tied the knot including Sarah Rafferty, Rick Hoffman, Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams (and wife Troian Bellisario), Gina Torres, Abigail Spencer and Jacinda Barrett.

One of the sweetest moment of the day was when Markle was escorted down the aisle by her father-in-law and future kind of England, Prince Charles, as her father was unable to attend.

After the 1-hour modern ceremony ended the two stepped out on the steps of the Chapel, for their very first kiss as husband and bride.

The ceremony was followed by an intimate wedding reception hosted by the Prince of Wales. The newlyweds left Windsor Castle and headed to Frogmore House for the evening festivities, in a  classic 1968 Jaguar. For her second look of the day, Markle chose a Stella McCartney design that featured a halter neckline and an A-line silhouette. She completed the look with a tighter up-do and accessorized with the late Princess Diana’s aquamarine cocktail ring gifted to her from Prince Harry.

It was a true celebration of love, as Prince Harry’s face was full of emotion as he first saw his bride walking down the aisle. When the two finally met, his first words to her were “you look amazing.”

As the two wed, a new era dawns.
