Shhh, the trailer for A Quiet Place Part II is finally out!
John Krasinski’s directional debut was a runaway hit when it launched in 2018, and it seems as though the sequel has the potential to follow suit.
Set after an alien invasion wipes out the majority of the population, Krasinski’s family of real-life wife Emily Blunt, as well as on-screen children Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe must remain silent to evade the creatures who are attracted to sound.
“Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence,” according to the sequel’s official plot. “Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.”
The trailer illustrates the day everything changed for the Abbots, when the aliens arrived. It further shows how Blunt now tries to protect her children and the family discovers other survivors in the form of newcomers Djimon Hounsou and Cillian Murphy.
A Quiet Place Part II hits theatres on March 20th.
