Two new shows might be coming our way later this year.

NBC has put out an order for pilots from Dean Georgaris and Daniel Barnz.

Georgaris has written the screenplays for many motion pictures including The Manchurian Candidate and The Meg, and has most recently worked on the series The Brave which he created.

His proposed new show, Bluff City Law, has been described as a character-driven legal drama which follows the lawyers of an elite Memphis law firm that specialises in controversial civil rights cases.

Won’t Back Down writer and director, Barnz, is responsible for the second project, Prism.

The series will follow a murder trial which each episode is told from the perspective of a different person involved.

NBC has ordered pilots of the shows for the 2019-2020 season, with ratings set to indicate whether both — or any — or picked up and made into full seasons.
