First comes the baby and then come the parents!

A new family comedy is in the works at Fox inspires by the life of Michael Yo.

The 43-year-old actor will star and co-write an autobiographical multi-generational comedy inspired by his very own life.

Yo has been tapped to pen the script alongside Nick Adams (Bojack Horseman) telling a very similar story to his life, after becoming a father and getting used to all the changes in his life with his parents right there to help him.

According to Deadline, the still untitled project centers on a young couple’s life that is made more complicated when the guy’s (Yo) over-achieving African American father and scheming Asian mother show up to help them take care of their newborn baby.

Adams and Yo also serve as executive producers.
