Swimmer Michael Phelps and model Nicole Johnson just welcomed another member to their family. Nicole gave birth to a baby boy named Beckett Richard Phelps on Monday, with the couple making the announcement via their son Boomer Phelp’s Instagram account.
Boomer’s Instagram account had the photo of Michael, Boomer, and Beckett alongside the caption: “I am officially a big bro!!! All I wanna do is hold him! I can’t wait til I get to teach him so many cool things about the world!!”
Around the same time, Michael Phelps shared a photo of Nicole and Boomer.
“Magical moments yesterday… Nicole and I would like to introduce Beckett Richard Phelps to the world! We had a healthy baby boy and a healthy mama. I truly do feel like the happiest man in the world. Being able to build our family to now 4 (6 with doggies) is so incredible!” – wrote Michael.
Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time, and Nicole Johnson, former Miss California USA, first met in 2007 at the ESPYs and started dating shortly after. The couple hit few bumps down the road, breaking up in 2012 before getting back together. Michael and Nicole got engaged in February 2015, and Nicole gave birth to Boomer in May 2016. The couple decided to keep their wedding under wraps, secretly tying the knot in June 2016. The reports about their marriage surfaced only four months later.
