Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have brought a baby boy into the world early Monday morning at 5:26 a.m.

The couple did away with the traditional royal photoshoot outside the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, and instead opted for the birth of their 7 pound 3 ounce son at their Frogmore Cottage residence.

Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, was by her daughter’s side during labor.

Prince Harry told reporters outside the royal residence that “Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It’s been the most amazing experience I can ever possibly imagine. How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension, and we’re both absolutely thrilled.”

The new dad is “over the moon,” with pride and happiness at the new addition to their family.

Despite not yet having a name, the youngest royal is now seventh in line to the British throne. The birth of this child is of great importance in England, as the boy is the first child of mixed race to be born into the royal family — although some historians claim that Queen Victoria was.

Regardless, the baby is big news for the Windsors, Britain, and the world in general.

Congrats to the happy couple!
