The sequel to Black Panther has been years in the making, and it’s finally just a few months away. Marvel announced countless new projects at this year’s Comic-Con and the newly released trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was one of its buzziest moments.

The first trailer is set to Wailer’s version of “No Woman No Cry”, and it shows the leader of Wakanda coming together to protect the kingdom following King T’Challa’s death. Angela Bassett’s Ramonda as Queen of Wakanda emotionally declares, “I am Queen of the most powerful nation in the world, and my entire family is gone.”

Writer-director Ryan Coogler is returning for another round, and he made major changes to the plot following Chadwick Boseman’s tragic death in 2020. Coogler honored the late actor at Comic-Con and said that the cast and crew put their “love for Chadwick into this film”.

Instead of recasting Boseman, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will give a bigger role to T’Challa’s sister Shuri, played by Letitia Wright. Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, and Florence Kasumba are also among the actors returning to their respective roles from the first film.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has been announced as the final film of Marvel’s Phase Four, and it will hit the theatres on November 11.
