These days, Mandy Moore is better known as an actress, courtesy of her role in the award-winning show This Is Us.

But before she was renowned as the matriarch Rebecca Pearson, Mandy started out as a singer, whose debut “Candy” peaked at number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1999.

The 35-year-old has now released her first new song in a decade!

That’s right. The last time we had new music from the songstress was the year 2009 when Glee was still a thing and Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards.

“It’s everything to be back in the studio again. I’m like, ‘I’ve missed this.’ It’s been over a decade… Everything is sort of coalescing in the right way, and I’m very grateful,” Moore told E! News in June.

The new track, “When I Wasn’t Watching”, will form part of her upcoming album.

“It’s a little terrifying — truth be told,” she said during a Q&A session on Instagram. “It’s been 10 years, but this is just the beginning — more music to come.”

We can’t wait!
