The creators of Mad About You are hoping you don’t remember what happened in the original show’s finale.

The comedy starring Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt as a married couple in New York City ran on NBC between 1992 and 1999.

The series is the latest set for a revival and will be heading to Spectrum along with Reiser and Hunt in November.

When the show ended in 1999, it did so with the couple’s recently-born baby, Mabel, all grown up. But, producers have decided to begin the new chapter two years prior to that scene and do not want to tie themselves down to that particular series of events.

“We’re futzing with time a little bit,” said executive producer Peter Tolan. “The things that you saw in that might happen in the future, but some of it won’t, so we’re not strictly being held to that finale. I’m pretending it didn’t happen.”

Mabel, set to be played by Abby Quinn, will be heading off to college in the season premiere on November 20th.
