The CW has given a second pilot order to The Lost Boys from Heather Mitchell and Rob Thomas.
Multiple outlets report that the network, which originally ordered a Lost Boys pilot last season, has given the green light to a revamped pilot for the 2020-2021 season. Mitchell and Thomas, as well as cast members from the first pilot, are all attached to the new one.
According to Variety, the reboot of the 1987 show will follow a mother and her Gen Z sons as they move to the seaside town where she grew up. There they discover there’s a sinister reason the local cool kids sleep all day, party all night, never grow up and never get old. Family bonds are tested as the brothers find themselves on opposite sides of a mythological struggle.
