Lily Collins’ New Show is Set in Paris

Lily Collins best start practicing her French.

The Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile actress has signed on to star in a new series from Sex and the City creator Darren Star, which will see her head to Paris.

As the title suggests, Emily in Paris will follow a a woman in her twenties from the Midwest who arrives in the French capital for work. The show will focus on culture clashes as Emily attempts to fit in among her European colleagues, as well as her new social network and love life.

“To be not only starring in a TV show created by Darren, but also producing it with him and the Paramount Network, is a real ‘pinch me’ moment,” said the 30-year-old actress.

“All of Darren’s shows have deeply defined, greatly impacted, and undeniably helped me navigate my journey into womanhood. I couldn’t imagine a more inspiring city to be our Emily in Paris home than Paris. What an absolute dream project!”

Ten episodes have been ordered for the half-hour series which is set to begin production later this year.
