Lili Reinhart adores her fans — but she doesn’t think they should be dictating how her show plays out.

The Riverdale star addressed the issue of fan theories whilst at New York Comic Con over the weekend.

“It would so much less interesting if everything that fans wanted to happen on the show happened. I feel like the steam would run out really quickly. I think it is good that the writers continue for what they want — their vision. It is not anyone else’s vision,” she said.

Executive producer, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, stated that they have to keep the mystery alive in the writer’s room and not through fan suggestions, to which Lili said, “I applaud you for doing that.”

Fans of The CW series can expect a much darker season 3 than previously seen as Archie faces his murder trial.

Lost in Oz actress, Gina Gershon, has been cast as Jughead’s mother, while Trinity Likins of Unspeakable will join the show as his sister.

All will be revealed when Riverdale returns on October 10th.
