Lil Nas X needs some time out.

2019 has been a fantastic year for the rapper. Not only has his single “Old Town Road” topped the charts, it also made history by becoming the longest number 1 atop the Billboard Hot 100 in 61 years, staying there for 19 weeks.

In addition, the Billy Ray Cyrus collaboration won two MTV Video Music Awards, including Song of the Year.

But all that success makes one tired.

And so, the 20-year-old has decided to take a break.

“It’s been a wild last 7 months and I’m ready to take a little time off,” he wrote on Twitter.

While the break is well-deserved, the timing is disappointing for fans as Lil Nas X has now decided to pull out of his scheduled performances at Twitchcon and the Sandbox music festival.

“Sorry to everyone attending Twitchcon or the Sandbox music festival, I will not be there,” he continued. “I love u guys and will make it up to you some way.”

Have a good rest, Lil Nas X!
