Kyra Sedgwick has been tapped to lead the ABC pilot My Village.
Multiple outlets confirm that the Emmy winner has signed on to star in the multi-camera comedy pilot from Kari Lizer (The New Adventures of Old Christine), Sony Pictures TV and ABC Studios.
In My Village, empty-nester mom Jean Raines (Sedgwick) wonders how she ended up alone while her children live their best lives thousands of miles away. She decides her place is with her family, and as she reinserts herself into their lives, her kids realize they might actually need her more than they thought.
Lizer, who wrote the pilot, will also serve as executive producer.
