It’s just over a month to go until our favorite (former teenager) super sleuth is back on our screens!

A Veronica Mars revival has been hoped for for many years, and no one was more behind it than creator Rob Marsh and the lead actress herself, Kristen Bell.

So, with July 26th approaching, what can we expect from the eight-part miniseries?

“This will be a controversial season. Let me just say that,” Kristen teased. “I am excited for people to watch, and I am also probably going to stay off the internet once it airs. There’s some stuff that happens that people will have strong feelings about…”

The series will focus on Veronica trying to catch a serial killer who is targeting spring break students trying to catch some sun in Neptune.

“It’s different when she’s an adult,” the actress said of her character, who is no longer a high school student. “The world is bigger, it’s sort of darker and dirtier, but she still has her moral compass, her sass and her wit. It’s still very much a show about the haves and the have nots and Veronica fighting for the underdog. It made me so happy to do it again.”

Not as happy as we are for July 26th!
