Keira Knightley’s Kid Isn’t Allowed to Watch These Disney Films

Keira Knightley is not raising a damsel in distress.

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms star is a mother to 3-year-old Edie with husband James Righton who is part of Klaxons.

Whilst on The Ellen Show, Keira revealed that many Disney movies are banned in her house. As she explained to Ellen, Keira does not want her daughter to watch the films which are not empowering to women.

Regarding Cinderella, the 33-year-old said, “She waits around for a rich guy to rescue her. Don’t. Rescue yourself — obviously.”

Keira’s views were similar when it came to another classic, The Little Mermaid. “Do not give your voice up for a man!” she declared.

But don’t worry, not all Disney flicks are out. Moana, Frozen, and Finding Dory have been approved!
