It’s about to get catty in here!

Taylor Swift, James Corden and Jennifer Hudson have been cast in the upcoming movie version of the musical Cats. The news was first reported by The Daily Mail and confirmed by Variety. Joining Swift, Corden and Hudson is Tony Award winner and Oscar nominee Sir Ian McKellen.

Helming the Andrew Lloyd Webber mega Broadway hit adaptation to the big screen is director Tim Hooper (Les Miserables) from a screenplay penned by Lee Hall (Bily Elliot) based on Lloyd Webber’s musical.

While Swift and Corden’s roles have yet to be confirmed, it is known that Hudson will play the classic role of Grizabella, the former “glamour cat,” which means she’s also going to be the one who gets to belt out the famous ballad, “Memory.” Hudson’s first breakout role was also on the set of a movie musical, starring in the 2006 feature Dreamgirls.

Cats is one of the most successful musicals in history, adapted by Lloyd Weber from a book of children’s poems by T.S. Eliot.
