The Party Down revival is coming our way, and it’s going to be in safe hands! Several members of the original cast are returning for their respective roles, and Jennifer Garner, James Marsden, Tyrel Jackson Williams, and Zoë Chao are joining their ranks.
Just like the original series, the revival will open the window into the lives of aspiring actors hoping for their big break in Hollywood while trying to make ends meet working for a catering company. Adam Scott, Jane Lynch, Ken Marino, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, and Megan Mullaly are set to return for the revival without Lizzy Caplan, who couldn’t join them due to scheduling conflicts.
The new cast will play a series of colorful characters, ranging from Hollywood royalty to wannabees. Garner will play a successful studio producer going through a tough breakup, while Marsden will join her in the role of a famous actor from a superhero franchise. Williams will take on the role of a confident wannabee internet influencer, while Chao is set to play an aspiring food artist with big dreams. They’ll all be credited as series regulars, apart from Marsden, who’s joining the show in a recurring role.
Starz ordered a six-episode revival of the cult series, but they’ve yet to announce its release date.
