A third film in the Ghostbusters franchise is being released next year, helmed by the son of Ivan Reitman, who brought us the original two.
Jason Reitman is set to begin filming Ghostbusters 3 in Canada this month and has given us an indication that the original cast may be popping along…
“Dan [Akroyd] has read it… Ernie [Hudson]’s read the script… Bill Murray has read the script,” Jason Reitman said at the first-ever Ghostbusters Fan Fest.
It was reported earlier in the week that Sigourney Weaver, who played client Dana Barrett in the 1984 and 1989 films, will be reprising her role.
“It’s going to be crazy working with the guys again!” the Avatar actress said.
The cast already includes Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, and Mckenna Grace.
Ghostbusters 3 is out on July 10th, 2020.
