It is a short notice, but it may be worth it. A cryptic post published by singer Jarvis Cocker on his Instagram account turned out to be a last-minute show announcement.
Cocker’s post stated “07723503180 get in touch with me!” on a post-it note, with the caption reading: “If you are going to be in the London area at the start of next week I urge you to call this number within the next 24 hours.”
People who called the number got a pre-recorded invitation from Cocker himself to a show he will perform next Monday (March 2nd). After that, the callers got a text message with a link to pre-order tickets for the show at The Steel Yard in London. Tickets have since sold out.
In May 2019, Cocker released “Must I Evolve,” the first track from Jarv Is. The Pulp frontman teamed up then with bandmates Serafina Steer, Emma Smith, Andrew McKinney, Jason Buckle, and Adam Betts. They all took part in his tours in 2018.
