Based on Stephen King’s novel, the blockbuster hit It will become available on Digital HD today and on Blu-ray in around 20 days. However, we won’t get the director’s cut along with the Blu-ray version.

As director Andy Muschietti said for Bloody Disgusting when asked if we can expect the director’s cut, “Yes, but in a few months.”

What will be in it? Rumors say that we might see an alternate opening scene where evil clown Pennywise eats a baby. The actor who portrayed it, Bill Skarsgård, said:

“I’m not gonna spoil what the scene is, because we might use it [in the sequel]. But it’s a very disturbing scene, sort of a backstory for what It is or where Pennywise came from. … The idea is that It, the entity, was dormant or resting for thousands and thousands of years and it [the scene] hints on [the founding of Derry].”
