“Hunters” Receives a Season 2 Order

Al Pacino and Logan Lerman in "Hunters"

Hunters will be returning to Amazon for Season 2.

Created by David Weil and executive produced by Jordan Peele, the first season of Hunters premiered on February 21 with Al Pacino, Logan Lerman, Jerrika Hinton, Josh Radnor, Kate Mulvany, Tiffany Boone, Greg Austin, Louis Ozawa, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Dylan Baker, and Lena Olin starring.

The conspiracy thriller drama followed Nazi hunters in New York City in 1977 who find hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials living among them and conspiring to start a Fourth Reich in the United States.

Weil was inspired by his grandmother, a Holocaust survivor, to create the series. “She would tell us (my brothers and I) about her experiences during the war. They were stories of great good versus terrifying evil. But they were stories of hope and courage and survival,” he said. “Growing up, I could see those stories through the prism of superheroes and comic books. That’s how I understood who she was, this superhero in my mind,” he told Deadline.
