Hulu’s “Four Weddings and a Funeral” Casts Andie MacDowell

Andie MacDowell joins Hulu’s Four Weddings and a Funeral series.

MacDowell, who was the star of the hit 1994 film has been tapped to star on the Hulu limited series inspired by the romantic comedy.

According to Deadline, MacDowell will play a new character alongside five other new cast members  Brandon Mychal Smith, Zoe Boyle, Jennie Jacques, Harish Patel, and Guz Khan. The production also recently recast its lead with Nathalie Emmanuel replacing originally cast Jessica Williams. They join the previously announced Nikesh Patel, Rebecca Rittenhouse and John Reynolds.

The series follows  four friends — Maya (Emmanuel), Craig (Smith), Ainsley (Rittenhouse) and Duffy (Reynolds), who reunite for a wedding. MacDowell will play Mrs. Howard, Ainsley’s mother.

The series written and exectuive produced by Mindy Kaling is set to premiere in 2019.
