The pair brought to life the characters of Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton, and we’re such a perfect couple that they ended up getting married in real life!
But according to the creator of the vampire show, the cast almost looked very different.
“Benedict Cumberbatch came and read for Bill,” Alan Ball revealed while adding that Jessica Chastain tried out for Sookie.
In addition, Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence was up for a part as a were-panther in the show’s 3rd season.
“She was great but all the women in the room, because she was going to be Jason’s girlfriend, and she was 17 at the time, were like, ‘No that’s gross.’”
Just as well it worked out as it did as we could not have imagined the series any other bloody way!
