Congratulations are in order for Kit Harington and Rose Leslie on their special day!
Game of Thrones fans finally got to see the wedding they were waiting for and no doubt it was the happiest GoT wedding they have ever seen.
The happy couple said their ‘I do’s’ in at the actress’ family’s castle, Wardhill, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The property has been owned by Leslie’s’ family for the past 900 years and is now a private hotel and a popular wedding spot.
The couple met on the set of the HBO hit series, playing love interests as Jon Snow and wildling Ygritte. Their on-screen romance continued off-screen.
The couple, both 31, announced their engagement in September of last year. The official announcement was made in The London Times. “The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harrington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire,” the announcement read.
The bride looked gorgeous in a long sleeve ivory lace wedding dress, a white flower crown and cathedral veil. The handsome groom wore a long black jacket over a cream vest, white shirt, black tie and gray pinstriped pants.
The Guardian reports that Leslie’s father spoke outside the church saying, “We are absolutely thrilled for Kit and Rose to be marrying today. It’s an absolutely lovely day for us.”
The private ceremony was attended by the happy couple’s GoT co-stars including Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner and Emilia Clarke.
