Game of Thrones fans did not mind the length of the most recent episode, if numbers are anything to go by.

The Long Night was just that, clocking in at 82 minutes — making it the longest-running episode of the series.

The entire episode focused on the Battle of Winterfell, which marked the final showdown between the armies of the living and the dead.

The much-hyped installment has now also become the most-watched in the show’s history!

Viewing figures from HBOGo and HBO Now show that episode three of Game of Thrones’ final season drew in even more viewers than the season’s premiere on the 14th of April.

17.8 million people tuned in to The Long Night compared to 17.4 who watched the season’s first episode.

A record number of people have tuned in to the popular series’ swansong season, and it’s expected that the final episode — which premieres on May 19th — will top them all.
