“Game of Thrones” Fans Demand Season 8 Redo

Game of Thrones fans have been frustrated, to put it euphemistically, by the show’s final season. Now, they’re taking their outrage a step further and demanding a redo.

Over 56,000 angry viewers have signed a petition on change.org, calling for HBO to remake season 8 with different writers.

Dylan D., the creator of the petition says, “David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on. This series deserves a final season that makes sense. Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!”

So far, Dylan appears to have a lot of support for the matter, which is unsurprising as each episode this season has brought an onslaught of memes slamming the show’s laziness.

Fed-up fans feel that they deserve better after investing seven years into watching the show.

Aside from the nonsensical plot of this final season, which has deviated substantially from the past 7 seasons of character development and quality of writing, obvious blunders like the Starbucks cup that appeared in episode 4, and promos featuring Jamie Lannister’s right hand mysteriously regenerating, only further underline fans’ position that Weiss and Benioff have been phoning in the production quality of the show.

Only time will tell if HBO will step up to the plate and right their accused wrongs.
