Beloved TV dad who starred on Frasier John Mahoney died on Sunday.
Mahoney was 77. During his long career, he appeared in many movies and in theatre, but the people will always remember him as Martin Crane on Frasier.
His life started in Blackpool, England. He moved to the US in his youth and didn’t start acting professionally until his 40s when John Malkovich and Gary Sinise invited him to join the Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Mahoney recently had a role in Hot in Cleveland.
Many people paid their respect on Twitter, including Steppenwolf co-founder Gary Sinise and Frasier casting director Jeff Greenberg.
