Lionsgate lands 16 States after a competitive situation, tapping Fede Álvarez.
The timely thriller will be directed by Álvarez, the helmer behind Don’t Breathe and Evil Dead. Álvarez will direct from a script by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra. Requa and Ficarra are best known for writing and directing the hit Crazy, Stupid, Love.
The film’s plot is being kept under wraps but it is reported that it’s a zombie pandemic with a mother trying to reach her family at the center of it.
Roy Lee and Miri Yoon of Vertigo Entertainment are producing, along with Requa, Ficarra and Charlie Gogolak via their Zaftig Films.
