The Suicide Squad has added another member.

The film serves as the sequel to 2016’s feature, which is based on DC Comics characters who are typically viewed as villains.

Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, and Viola Davis are set to reprise their roles in the follow-up, which will be directed by Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker James Gunn, who has also written the screenplay.

Idris Elba, John Cena, David Dastmalchian, and Daniela Melchior have all signed on to star, with Peter Capaldi becoming the latest addition to the cast.

The role played by the former Doctor Who star has not yet been revealed, but he does not seem to be the only new person to join.

Producers of the film are reportedly also eyeing Pete Davidson, who has been starring on Saturday Night Live since 2014.

The Suicide Squad opens on August 4th, 2021.
