Disney revealed more cast members for Incredibles 2, the long-anticipated sequel to the 2004 animated movie. It was announced that Sophia Bush, Jonathan Banks, and Isabella Rossellini are joining the returning cast Craig T. Nelson (Mr. Incredible), Holly Hunter (Elastigirl), Sarah Vowell (Violet), Huck Milner (Dashiell) and Samuel L. Jackson (Frozone). Incredibles 2 is set for release on June 15, 2018.

You can check out the sketches of the movie’s characters below.

Besides the cast members, the studio also gave us some insights into the characters that will be part of the movie. Sophia Bush will voice Voyd, described as “young, overeager “wannabe” Super and a mega-fan of Elastigirl” whose superpowers are an ability to “divert and manipulate objects around her by creating voids that allow the objects to appear and disappear, and shift in space.”

Jonathan Banks takes the role of Rick Dicker, head of official Super Relocation Program who will help the Parr family to keep their identities secret. Isabella Rossellini’s character was described as “dignified foreign ambassador committed to the support and legalization of Superheroes.”

Brad Bird will return as a director while John Walker and Nicole Paradis Grindle are taking the roles of executive producers.

“It’s fundamentally a story about family,” said Bird about the movie. “The technology has gotten so much better; we can get them close to what we wanted to do in the [original]. It’s like driving a better car.”

Incredibles premiered in 2004 and became an immediate success. The movie received positive reviews from the critics while performing exceptionally well at the box office and earning more than $630 million. The sequel has been in the works since 2007, with the development officially starting in 2014. Although the initial release date was set June 21, 2019, Disney decided to release Incredibles 2 one year early due to delays in making the Toy Story 4, which had the June 15, 2018, release date.
