Disney+ Releases “Frozen 2” Three Months Early

The Walt Disney Company decided to add a glimmer of hope to homes everywhere during these stressful times.

While parents and children are quarantined at home because of the spread of Coronavirus, they can watch Frozen 2, which was released on Disney+ three months ahead of schedule on Sunday, March 15th.

Frozen 2, the 2019 sequel to the No. 1 animated film of all-time, tells the story of Elsa the Snow Queen, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven’s journey to find Elsa’s magical powers and to save the kingdom of Arendelle. Along the way, Elsa hears a voice call out to her and she travels to the enchanted forest and dark sea, a path that leads to self-discovery.

Disney CEO Bob Chapek said in a statement, “Frozen 2 has captivated audiences around the world through its powerful themes of perseverance and the importance of family, messages that are incredibly relevant during this time, and we are pleased to be able to share this heartwarming story early with our Disney+ subscribers to enjoy at home on any device.”

Starring in Frozen 2 are Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, Jonathan Groff, Evan Rachel Wood, and Sterling K. Brown.
