Netflix has renewed Dear White People for a fourth and final season.

The Netflix original follows a group of students and the prejudice they face on a day to day basis. From micro-aggressions to overt racism, the show offers insight into what it is like to be a minority race in 21st century America. The series was created by Justin Simien who has used the opportunity to share valuable insight into cultural and racial prejudice through gritty storytelling.

“I’m so grateful my little indie-that-could has made it to four seasons at Netflix,” Simien said in response to the news. “This show, along with the many talented storytellers it has brought into my orbit, has changed my life and I can’t wait to create a celebratory final volume befitting such a transformative experience.”

There is not yet a release date in sight for the fourth and final season. The renewal announcement was made via Facetime and featured Marque Richardson and his fellow cast members.
