Fox’s fall schedule is out and it brings with it good news for some and the ax for others…

Gotham fans rejoice as the DC Comics-based series has been renewed for a fifth and final season. The upcoming season will focus on Bruce Wayne’s (David Mazouz) transformation into Batman.

Lethal Weapon has been renewed and will go on to the third season. American Pie star Seann William Scott will join the drama series following Clayne Crawford’s exit from the series due to his on-set behavior. Michael Thorn, Fox’s president said of the casting changes, ”Seann is a fantastic addition to this already amazing cast. Lethal Weapon is packed with action, drama and pure fun and we can’t wait to see Damon and Seann together on screen. Matt Miller, his incredible team and everyone at Warner Bros. have been tremendous partners, and we’re thrilled to bring this show back for another season.”

Last Man Standing returns to the network’s schedule after it was canceled last year by ABC. “Last year when Last Man Standing was canceled, we really looked for an opportunity to move it to our schedule and we just didn’t have the right show to pair it with, we didn’t have the right opportunity for it,” Gary Newman, CEO of Fox Television Group said Monday. Last Man Standing will kick off the Friday night lineup followed by lead The Cool Kids.

The network also renewed the drama series 911, as well as Empire, Star, The Gifted, The Resident, and the Orville. Most of Fox’s live-action comedies got the ax, including The Mick and The Last Man on Earth.

Fox also ordered two new drama series for the 2018-19 season, The Passage, Proven Innocent, which will be held for midseason.
