Remember when Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow were twinning? Well Emilia Clarke sure does!
The star of the hit HBO fantasy drama Game of Thrones has chopped off her platinum blonde hair. Clarke who stars as Daenerys Targaryen aka Mother of Dragons took to social media to show off her new look, sharing a snap of the short do Thursday on Instagram.
The star couldn’t look happier in the picture, which she captioned, “Me: I’m thinking when Gwyneth and Brad had the same haircut.” She also added, “#nowijustneedanextra2feetoflegs” and #fortheloveofthelowmaintenance.”
This isn’t the first time Clarke has chopped all her hair off. Back in July Clarke sported a middle-parted blunt bob, which she also shared on Instagram. “In other news, this FABULOUS new bob is the chicest way to style out some burnt-out mother of dragons split ends #whenyoulooklikeawildlingitstimetochop.”
There’s no doubt fans were somewhat surprised as it was Kit Harington, who starred as Jon Snow who said he would most likely cut off his long hair once filming was done. It seems though that in a recent interview, Harington has had a change of heart, “It’s strange to think now that I can change it. Do I want to change it? Am I going to change it? I don’t know.”
Game of Thrones returns for its final season in 2019.
