Lupita Nyong’o Cast in Christopher Nolan’s Next Film

Pretty much every actor in Hollywood dreams about being cast in Christopher Nolan’s film, and Lupita Nyong’o will soon make that dream come true. Oscar-winning actress is the latest A-lister to join Nolan’s mystery new project, also starring Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Anne Hathaway.

Nolan knocked it out of the park with his latest film Oppenheimer, a historical epic that won seven Oscars at this year’s Academy Awards, including best picture and best director. He’ll reunite with Universal Pictures for his next project, which will be released theatrically and on IMAX on July 17, 2026.

Like all of Nolan’s previous films, this one is shrouded in secrecy, but we know a thing or two about its star-studded cast. This project will reunite Nolan with Matt Damon (Oppenheimer) and Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises, Interstellar), and it will also star the Spider-Man duo Tom Holland and Zendaya.

Lupita Nyong’o is the latest A-list star added to this amazing cast. She rose to prominence after winning an Oscar for her breakout role in 12 Years a Slave and went on to star in the Black Panther franchise. Her most recent credits include the apocalyptic horror A Quiet Place: Day One and the animated film The Wild Robot.

2025 Grammy Awards: Beyoncé Makes History With 11 Nominations

Beyoncé is no stranger to breaking records, and she’ll set a few more at this year’s Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy unveiled the list of nominations for the next ceremony, and Queen B is leading the way with 11, in addition to making history as the most-nominated artist ever with a total of 99 nods.

Beyoncé is already the most decorated artist in the history of the Grammy Awards with a total of 32 wins, but she now surprised her husband Jay-Z to become the most nominated artist, as well. She also broke the tie she previously shared with Lauryn Hill for most nominations for a female artist in a single year.

Despite writing her name in history books time and time again, Beyoncé is yet to win the coveted album of the year award. She’ll get another chance to come up victorious with Cowboy Carter, competing against the likes of Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Billie Eilish.

Beyoncé also received nods for song and record of the year with “Texas Hold ‘Em”, but the race for these awards will be pretty tight. Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather”, Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight” ft. Post Malone, Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck Babe”, and Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” are also in the running.

The 2025 Grammy Awards are returning to the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 2, 2025, and the host is yet to be announced.

2024 Gotham Film Awards: “Anora” Leads the Way With Four Nods

The Gotham Film Awards will celebrate the best independent movies of the past year in New York this December, and we finally know who’s in the running for this award. Sean Baker’s Anora is leading the list of contenders with a total of four nominations, including best feature.

It was clear that Anora was destined for great things after it won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, and it’s living up to the hype. It will enter this year’s Gotham Film Awards as one of the main contenders for best feature, along with Halina Reijn’s Babygirl, Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers, Aaron Schimberg’s A Different Man, and RaMell Ross’s Nickel Boys.

Mikey Madison is the breakout star of this film, and she received a nod for outstanding lead performance for her titular role in Anora. This category includes some of Hollywood’s biggest names, starting with Pamela Anderson for The Last Showgirl, Adrien Brody for The Brutalist, Nicole Kidman for Babygirl, and Demi Moore for The Substance.

Anora is also in the running in two more major categories – best director for Sean Baker and outstanding supporting performance for Yura Borisov. This brings its total of nominations to four, while I Saw the TV Glow and Nickel Boys are in the running for three each.

The 2024 Gotham Film Awards will return to the Cipriani Wall Street in New York on December 2.

One Direction Mourn the Tragic Passing of Former Member Liam Payne

Former One Direction member Liam Payne tragically passed away after falling from a balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the age of 31. His sudden death took the world by storm this past week, and his former bandmates released emotional statements, fondly reflecting on the time they spent together.

The news of Payne’s tragic death made the headlines after he fell from a third-door balcony at a hotel in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires on October 16. Fans gathered in front of the hotel to pay homage to the singer’s life and legacy, with memorials in Payne’s honor taking place all around the world.

Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik, released a joint statement following his passing, saying they’re “completely devastated by the news.” They added they’ll “take some time to grieve and process” this loss and that “the memories we shared with him will be treasured forever”

Payne’s rise to prominence started when he took part in the singing competition The X Factor in 2010 and became a part of One Direction alongside Horan, Styles, Tomlinson, and Malik. They went on to become one of the most successful boy bands in history before going their separate ways in 2016, and Payne released his first solo album LP1 three years later.

Netflix has given us one of its most offbeat shows in recent memory with Nobody Wants This, and its future is looking bright. Kristen Bell and Adam Brody are getting ready to go back to work after this beloved rom-com series received a quick Season 2 renewal.

Nobody Wants This centers on a brash podcaster Joanne and an unconventional rabbi Noah, as they attempt to build a loving and trusting relationship despite leading completely different lifestyles.

In addition to Bell and Brody in the lead roles, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitcock, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Emily Arlook, Jackie Tohn, Sherry Cola, and Shiloh Berman also star in this series.

Erin Foster created Nobody Wants This for Netflix and served as its co-showrunner in Season 1, but the show’s next chapter is bringing a major creative overhaul our way. After working together on Girls, Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan will be in charge of showrunning this series in Season 2, and they’re already working on new ideas after putting together a writers’ room.

Nobody Wants This premiered on Netflix with all ten episodes on September 26. It was met with positive reviews and impressive viewership numbers, topping the streamer’s list of the most-watched English shows.

Anne Hathaway Confirms Her Return to “The Princess Diaries 3”

Anne Hathaway broke into Hollywood with the role of Mia Thermopolis in The Princess Diaries, and she’ll soon step into her shoes again. The Oscar-winning actress is returning as our favorite movie princess in The Princess Diaries 3, which will be directed by Adele Lim.

Hathaway confirmed she’s coming back as Mia Thermopolis in a social media post, where she shared a news story about Lin directing the third film in the franchise. She posted a video counting to three, while the videos from The Princess Diaries played in between, and captioned it with the words “Back to Genovia.”

Based on Meg Cabot’s hit young adult novel of the same name, The Princess Diaries came out in 2001 and produced a sequel The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement three years later. In addition to Hathaway, the cast of these films also included Julie Andrews, Héctor Elizondo, Heather Matarazzo, Mandy Moore, Caroline Goodall, Robert Schwartzman, and Chris Pine, but they’re yet to confirm their return.

Flora Greeson wrote the script for the third film in the franchise, while Adele Lim (Joy Ride) has been tapped to direct. She’ll also be credited as one of the executive producers along with Hathaway, Naia Cucukov, and Melissa Stack, while Debra Martin Chase is producing.

Millie Bobby Brown is out.

If you’ve been searching for the Stranger Things star on Twitter and coming up with less luck than Bob Newby, this is why.

Despite being an active LGBTQ rights supporter, and advocate for anti-bullying on the net, the 14-year-old found herself the victim of a homophobic meme campaign entitled #TakeDownMillieBobbyBrown.

The nasty memes included claims that Millie throws McDonald’s coffee at those wearing pride shirts, as well as screenshots of her Snapchat graffitied with homophobic statements.

The young actress had started a second Twitter account almost a year ago with the handle @milliestopshate which aimed to stop cyber-bullying and spread a little more kindness.

As a result of the hateful memes, Millie decided to deactivate her main account, @MillieBBrown.

James Corden, the creator of the show, has previously explained that Bennington’s family would have the final saying in whether or not the episode would air.

“We will approach it in whichever manner his family or the people that were involved in that episode, however they would like it to be handled,” Corden told the Associated Press in August. “We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes they would want because I don’t think there’s any other way we could deal with it. It’s a tragedy.”

Now it’s been confirmed that they have decided to go on with it.

We all know that Prince Philip has a quirky sense of humor, but nobody expected him to call the Queen this!

Reportedly, the recently retired Duke of Edinburg calls his beloved wife by a famous vegetable, and it’s all been revealed in the film The Queen.

“Move over, cabbage,” Prince Philip says to the monarch in the movie after shuffling into the bed. Screenwriter Peter Morgan confirmed that he got an exclusive information that this is indeed the Duke’s nickname for the Queen. “I inquired in royal circles and was told on very good authority that that is what the Duke sometimes calls the Queen,” Morgan revealed.

When you think about it, the nickname probably comes from the French term ‘mon petit chou,’ which translates to ‘my little cabbage’ in English.
