Can you imagine The Big Lebowski without Steve Buscemi?
Neither can we. But, it appears, that was almost the case.
It has been 20 years since the release of the Coen brother’s classic and its stars, Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, and Steve reunited to celebrate the milestone, thanks to The Today Show.
Missing some of our cast here, but it was a blast getting back together with John and Steve for the 20th Anniversary of #TheBigLebowski. pic.twitter.com/CXBv596woG

During the reunion, Steve revealed that he almost turned down the part of Donnie Kerabatsos.
“When I was reading the part of Donnie, I kind of didn’t get it,” he said. “I felt bad for the guy. I thought, ‘Why does Walter bully him all the time?’ And as I’m reading it, I thought, ‘How am I gonna tell Joel and Ethan that I don’t want to do this? And then when I got to Donnie’s last scene… I saw the relationship. I saw how much Walter really loves Donnie and how they’re like brothers, and I found it very moving.”
We’re so glad he did!
