We might not know where in the world Carmen Sandiego is — but we do know when!
The criminal mastermind was first introduced to audiences in 1985 as part of an educational video game which allowed players to learn about countries which Carmen escaped to.
Ms. Sandiego then found herself with her own animated television show in the 90s and lightning has struck once again as she will return to screens in 2019.
Netflix will be producing the new series which comes out ahead of a live-action film starring Jane the Virgin actress, Gina Rodriguez, as the globetrotting thief.

Gina will also provide the voice for the animated Carmen, with Finn Wolfhard of Stranger Things also doing voice work for the series.
The streaming service has now announced that Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego’s 22 episodes will premiere on 18 January 2019.
