It comes as no surprise that after one season, Almost Famous has been canceled.

The Fox show didn’t get a back order, and it wasn’t on the network’s mid-season schedule. In addition, Almost Family was moved from its Wednesday time slot to Saturday for its two last episodes.

Back in January, Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn told Deadline, “We have been talking about developing a series about how DNA affects who you are and your journey and it’s something that people are talking about all the time, with 23 and me for example…We are really proud of the show. We gave it a great time slot, we really tried to set it up for success.”

The series starred Brittany Snow as Julia Bechley, an only child who after learning that her father Leon Bechley (Hutton), a fertility doctor, has fathered tons of children, her life falls apart. Also starring in Almost Family were Megalyn Echikunwoke and Emily Osment, who played two of Leon’s children.
