Blake Shelton was humble and funny while receiving the honor as 2017’s Sexiest Man Alive given annually by People magazine.
He told the publication at the moment, “Y’all must be running out of people. Like, wow, we’re down to somebody who is somewhat symmetrical.”
Shelton decided to accept the honor thanks to his girlfriend of two years, Gwen Stefani. He claims she was the one who ‘made him’ accept it: “She goes, ‘Listen to me, you’re going to regret this for the rest of your life if you don’t take this gift and just live in the moment.”
And he listened to her.
Shaleton isn’t the first Voice coach to receive this honor. Adam Levine was the Sexiest Man Alive back in 2013.
